Cladding on all horizontal and vertical structural members that are usually interconnected and anchored to the building´s load-bearing structure, and form a light, continuous, cover that has none of the load-bearing properties of the building while performing all the functions of an exterior wall, on its own or together with the building, which surrounds a volume. called the facade.
These systems are mostly (stick) rod systems. In this system, the frame is first created with mullions and transoms. Later on:
- On the Covered Facade, the insulated glass is placed on the wick in the frame and fixed first with the under cover press and then with the cover profile.
- On the other hand, Silicone Facade aluminum cassette profile bonded to the glass both forms a frame to the glass and allows to be attached to mullions and transoms in a way that is not visible from the outside.
- Another method called Integrated Facade or Economic Façade is based on the principle of attaching the glass through a groove in the insulated glazing bead.
